Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay

Ladies your going to just love Mr. Mayfair!
Stella London gets the shock of her life when she receives a wedding invitation from her recent ex boyfriend Matthew and her best friend Karen. Determined she is not going to attend the wedding until she meets Mr. Mayfair in the form of Beck Wilde, he offers her an opportunity that she finds so very hard to refuse as it's just what she needs to get her life back on track. Beck quickly sweeps her off her feet as they become caught up in their fake romance, but while putting on a show for others they both start falling for each other and it becomes hard from them to decipher if things are real or fake between them.
As far as fake marriage stories or a marriage of convenience goes, Louise Bay has written a brilliant take on this trope, she has created a story that is not only interesting and engaging but you really get to feel all the hurt and emotions that Stella goes through. The poor girl goes through so much emotional heart break while putting on a brave face so that she can keep her end of the bargain, she is such a strong likeable character and even though she is clever, smart and beautiful she still is little naive and people around her take advantage of that. Beck even though he is in the dark for most of the story about the hurt that Stella is going through, he still steps up to the mark and swoops in just when she needs someone to rescue and protect her. What else can I say other than I totally fell in love with Beck, he is so emotionally separated from wanting to have a real relationship with anyone but his character's personality is so warm, caring and funny that he was for me the perfect book boyfriend, i'd even say that he is swoonworthy!!
Stella and Beck have great chemistry, the sexual tension between was intense. They were the perfect couple and their story was such a pleasure to read. The writing was just so good that I felt myself being consumed by the story. Louise Bay has written another amazing romance that is definitely one of my favorite stories to have read this year and it's now in my top 5 best reads of 2019.
This is a cracker of a romance and you don't want to miss getting to meet Mr. Mayfair!

I really enjoyed Nola and Bane's story, because as a woman that suffers from Fibromyalgia myself I could totally understand the pain and suffering that Nola goes through everyday, she is a brilliant character that no matter what she will never give up or give in. Bane as the hero of this story was a little hard to love at first but once he started to show his softer side I totally fell in love with his character and personality, he is a true and loyal soldier that follows every order he is given by his queen to a fault but he soon starts to realise who his true queen really is.
There was plenty of action in this book to keep myself as a reader interested in where the story would take Nola and Bane, they had great chemistry going on between them and great personalities that only made me like them more. The writing was very good, it flowed well and was easy to understand. Gods of War is turning out to a wonderful series with a very different twist on the paranormal theme. I can't wait for the next book as i'm already hooked, addicted even and I need my next fix soon!

Watch out ladies as Presley West is about to steal your hearts!
I haven't read a really good rockstar romance in a long time and I really mean that, but as soon as I starting reading this story I could instantly tell that there was something special about it. I just knew that I was on to a smash hit of a story, in fact i'd go as far as to say this is the best rockstar romance i've ever read.
Firstly I was drawn in to the story by it's characters Presley and Tessa. They are two people from the same small town. Presley becomes the drummer in a famous rock band that every woman wants and Tessa is the sassy redheaded girl that works behind the bar in his favorite pub, they form a strange kind of friendship that starts out with banter and silly sarcasm between them that is hilarious, he nicknames her Cherry and this ignites the spark between them.
Secondly the plot line of this book was brilliant it had just the right amount of drama and tension that kept the story interesting and I thought it was very original. Sometimes I find that the drama can be overplayed in a story and becomes silly but this was not the case.
The romance was a slow burn that became so hot it steamed up my glasses, I found Presley to be a swoonworthy hero that I could easily fall in love with. Cherry was also a great heroine, she was always trying to do the right thing while making herself miserable in the process, but I admired her for strength and determination.
This book is an adrenaline fuelled emotional rollercoaster ride. It left me with a massive book hangover and a want to read it all again, because it was just that bloody brilliant. The writing was insanely good and I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Guarding the Countess by Jess Michaels

Well what a rush!
This book was such a great read and even though it's only a fairly short story it felt like all the bases were covered. This story is a total mixture of M/F/M and M/M and if these genres are not to your taste you have been warned!
This is a great story about two men that are hired to protect and investigate for the Countess after mysteriously losing three husbands in a short amount of years but they end up falling in love with her. The plot is angsty and full of mystery and the sex between the characters sizzles and burns. This book filled a dull afternoon, made me smile and set my heart a fluttering. Always great writing from this author, an unputdownable read.
