Publication Date: September 21, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Check out my 5 Star Review Below! Clare xx

SYNOPSIS: When I first applied for the job I thought it would be like all the others: working as a nanny for an aristocratic family.
Then I got the job and found out how wrong I was.
Now I’m the new nanny for two adorable little girls who happen to be princesses.
Their father is the widowed King of Denmark.
And my new home? The royal palace in Copenhagen.
Adjusting to my new life isn't easy but the hardest part hasn’t been the girls who still grieve over the loss of their mother.
It’s their father.
Cold, mysterious and moody, with an icy stare that seems to penetrate your soul, King Aksel may have hired me to take care of his daughters but he wants as little to do with me as possible.
Yet the longer I share these palace walls with this man, the more that I’m drawn to him. His chiseled face and sexual swagger are only part of the package. It’s in the long, intense glances at the dinner table, the way we’ll brush up against each other in the halls, the rare glimpses of the man deep inside, like the sun passing through clouds.
But no matter how I feel about him, we can never be together.
You think it's bad enough being in love with your boss?
Try falling in love with a king.

Clare's 5 Star Review
I was first introduced to Karina's writing when I read The Swedish Prince and secondly The Wild Heir, and ever since then I've been hooked on her storytelling. A Nordic King is definitely my favorite book of these sexy and steamy royal romances.
King Aksel of Denmark is a 40 year old broken man that is cold and distant to everyone, he is living with a sadness and guilt behind the cause of his wife's death, that is until Aurora a 26 year old Aussie nanny arrives at the palace and begins to bring light and happiness back into his and his two daughters lives.
The storyline of this book is pretty much along the lines of an enemies to lovers trope which is one of my favorite romances to read, but the dynamic between Askel and Aurora changes as the story progresses from a very deep dislike to a very passionate love that had me feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside as they eventually realise that they are meant to be together.
This was quite a quirky story at times as it had me laughing so much especially the scenes with Clara, Freeja the princesses and Snarf Snarf! But it was also very saddening to read about how Aurora and Askel had both been starved of any real love in their lives. I did get quite emotional while reading parts of this book as it was so very easy to put myself in their shoes and to feel what they had both lived through. This book certainly took me through a rollercoaster of emotions, some good and some bad.
This book was such an enjoyable read, for me it just ticked all the boxes. The characters were so well likeable and the story had me sucked in from the very first page. I just love how Krina Halle can write about such wonderfully broken heros, that you can't help but fall in love with them and such amazing heroines that can give them the love they deserve to be whole again.
This is one of my favorite books of 2018 and I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.
A royally epic 5 stars!
