MY 5 STAR REVIEW
Have you have ever once upon a time wished that you lived in a small town with a boardwalk by the edge of the sea, where the people are friendly and the place is like living in a fairytale, where there's a hot guy named Cooper Lawson who owns the local bar who could be your very own knight in shining armor then this book is for you!!!
I loved the synopsis of this book so much that when I first started to read it I quickly got absorbed in this tale of heartbreak, loss and love. Jessica Huntington finds letters hidden in a book at the prison where she works as a doctor, when she opens them they lead her to follow her heart and take a vacation in the quirky town of Hartwell to find the man the letters were meant for. While there Jessica gets put under a spell by the residents of the town and the magic of the place that she finds herself questioning herself about her life, her job, happiness and where her home really is.
Cooper Lawson is divorced and not looking for anything permanent until he meets Jessica on a rainy day on the boardwalk where he invites her to take shelter from the rain in his bar. Their attraction is obvious to everyone even though Jess tries to fight it as she knows she will be leaving soon and has the added problem of her friend with benefits Andrew.
But like all love stories nothing ever happens easily without outsiders trying to come between them. Jessica holds a dark secret that someone uncovers to destroy their happiness and Cooper's ex wife Dana becomes a nuisance that they just don't need.
The storytelling is captivating, the setting is magical, the characters touched my heart and the romance is hotter than the sand on a California beach in summer. It was an absolute pleasure to read and I can't wait to read the next book in this wonderful new series.
Brilliant 5 Stars!!!
