The Christmas WagerThe Christmas Wager by Delilah Marvelle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*Arc received from Netgalley for an honest review*

This book is the first I have ever read by Deliah Marvelle and as an historical lover I was not disappointed in this wonderful story. Its about Felicity who was abandoned as baby at an orphanage not ever knowing who her mother was and her only clue is a key that was left behind for her, and why she was placed there until her very rich uncle comes to claim her. By now she is almost a grown young woman and as she is about leave her friend who has the gift to predict the future tells her that a Duke and a ruby ring will be the path to her future happiness.
Felicity tries to follow her friends advise hoping that one day she will marry a Duke until she meets the handsome American gentleman next door Maxwell, who becomes her friend and her enemy all in one night.
The story takes many twists and turns over a span of a few years and comes to a ending with a lovely HEA. I absolutely loved this book and would read it anytime of year not just as a Christmas romance.
