Her One True LoveHer One True Love by Rachel Brimble
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Clare's Mad About Books

Rachel Brimble doesn't disappoint with this wonderful tale of Jane a young woman from a good middle class family and Matthew the Squire of their village of Biddlestone. They have long been friends but duty over the years has kept them from being anything more. Jane decides to move to Bath and move on with her life when Matthew's wife becomes estranged and he still shows no sign of him thinking of her as still nothing more than a friend while he wallows in self pity over a woman he never loved.
I loved the characters how they fought with themselves in trying to do the right thing for everyone else but never them self and Jane when deciding to making a life for herself, how she becomes a strong independant woman with her move and determination to do good working with the poor and orphaned children.
Lots of sweet and tender moments but also plenty of passion and fire to make a very pleasant book to read.
